Pornography and the Limits of Experimental Research - Robert Jensen, pg 417-423

Recap: How can one accurately measure the effects of pornography in an lab or some very controlled space? Will the reactions given by the participants be genuine? I think that the results would indicate that there are broad idea of how pornography leads to violence against women. Does the male who watches daily have the same issues as a male that views it casually? Does putting a scientific label on pornography make it a better topic to discuss? There are a lot of compelling questions that are asked of pornography and what makes it pornography. It seems that all pornography is different and how it is used etc. Now all that needs to be done is to find the specific pornography that causes violence against women and not do that type any more.

Comment: This article is very similar to the last one. Just what level does pornography play in violence towards women? Aren’t the people who commit sexual crimes against women all ready have problems. Same goes for the child molester, the desire is already there and fueled by their imagination. Isn’t a person’s imagination more likely to create a more specific type of thought process towards women. he only thing that should e really looked into hard is child pornography. That type of abuse is not something that can be forgiven.
